  i have been in two congregations where someone moved in from the big city and took over with the attitude of the northerners when they go south, i come from where they do it right.

  like bulls in china shops they remove people and do the house cleaning like the political org cult it is.

  Yes! Around 20 years ago an Elder was sent to 'help'. Extremely pretentious and opinionated, he has hurt multiple lives. Even though he is no longer the Presiding Overseer, he is still strangely viewed as the local guru, or 'pastor' if you will, and has no qualms about preaching his personal opinions as doctrine, and intimidating those around him who don't give him adulation. Reminds me of the Bible character Haman, who Mordecai wouldn't bow down to. He has it out for me, by the way. 😆

  No you don't understand. JWs are unique from most conservatives. They are anti gun, anti government, anti war, anti any history or heritage but their own. Many members are hippie types who were attracted to the paradise Earth concept and often go for conspiracy theories and alternate medicine. The religious beliefs only came along on the side.

  Not surprising. Although JWs have some superficial things in common with conservatives, most are liberal at heart. A.K.A. not wrapped too tight 😅

  oh boy, the meetings lined up for december are culty.. it all starts with a 5 minute talk someone has to give on the topic "why should we not be troubled by the increase of memorial partakers in recent years?".

  the next week again inserts jws into bible prophecy, first with "the earth swallowed up the river", which claims that court victories for the org are really god's doing.

  there is no mention on who is responsible for the many judgements against the org.. then there's this chart to be discussed that same night:.
